Then its off to Albuquerque for the International Tour Management Institute Symposium where I will moderate a panel on travel writing. Then we are excited to share the Seychelles with our audiences as we celebrate Carnival on the Island that is located in the Indian Ocean off of East Africa.

I was also honored by getting a call from the folks at Vantage Deluxe World Travel with an invitation to cruise on the maiden voyage of the River Splendor from Antwerp Belgium to Amsterdam March 13. And finally, w
e will set our focus for ITB in Berlin where I will speak about Human Trafficking Awareness.

Richard Bangs, Returns from North Korea and talks about this one of a cultural exchange.
Considering North Korea as a Tourism Destination

Richard Bangs not only considered it, he worked with the North Korean government for many years to finally bring the first US tourists to this 'Hermit Kingdom' in Sept of 2012.
These forerunners of North Korean tourism agreed to deposit their cell phones in plastic bags and hand them over for safe keeping while inside of North Korea. The US tourists were allowed to take cameras, laptops, and tablets inside the country.

Richard (known as the Father of Modern Adventure Travel) is also the co founder of Expedia and Mountain Sobek Travel. He is passionate about leading unique tour experiences all over the world and his trip to North Korea is true to form.

Come listen at his knee as he describes in a fire side chat, the journey and the people he and his friends met along the way. His enthusiasm is infectious and his hope for a better future through travel is believable.

Welcome to BusinessTravelRADIO!
We celebrate the industry with Sharon Baron Lobo this week as we discuss an organization that is close to my heart, Airline Ambassadors International. This non profit organization is an amazing organization filled with flight attendants that represent the needs of children around the world. Sharon, a flight attendant and a member of AAI will be talking about the RocknRoll Marathon and how it is supporting the AAI.
Sandy also has some fun with the Roasted Chestnut Man from London. If you have been to World Travel Mart, you might remember Gus who religiously attends to his station directly outside Excel
every night. Take a listen to this unique character, he is full of love, light and laughter. And then finally, we look at new company on our radar, called FareBuzz. Archives are ready for you to download or listen to on demand.
