Northport, Michigan—February 25, 2019 Join Artist, Musician and Writer, Sandy Dhuyvetter for an afternoon presentation and conversation highlighting her work with George Lucas.

There is little question that the Mother of the ‘baddest’ Bounty Hunter in the Galaxy is Sandy Dhuyvetter. Dhuyvetter is best known by her fans as ‘Momma Fett’ for her contribution to the character of Boba Fett. Sandy produced custom art for Lucas that included set designs and artwork for “More American Grafitti” and the first 3 Boba Fett costumes in her commercial studio named Day Dream Productions near San Francisco in 1977 thru 1979.

Sandy has dedicated her career to the Arts which include writing, illustration and performing music. Since moving to Leelanau County from San Francisco Bay Area in 2013, Dhuyvetter continues to play music and distribute her designs and illustrations via the entertainment and tourism industries around the world.

Currently Sandy is working on projects that build cultural bridges with music and art. She will be traveling to Jordan with fans and other Star Wars designers to sign autographs, visit film locations and attend the upcoming Premiere December 2019. This will be her second Star Wars tour.

This year Sandy is retiring her duties after 7 years on the Board of Directors for Airline Ambassadors International, a DCbased non-profit organization dedicated to child safety including trafficking awareness and prevention.

Sandy is currently the Director of Leelanau UnCaged, a one day music festival, held this year on Sept 28, 2019. UnCaged highlights over 35 bands and performers and 100+ vendors.

She is a new Board of Directors’ member for the Northport Arts Association.

Sandy also plays in a duet with George Powell called Dolce playing an eclectic mix of music with the mandolin and accordion.

The March Speaker Series presentation will be at the Northport Arts Building at 301 North Mill Street in Northport, Sunday March 3rd, at 4PM.
